Product Overview

Application and service highlights

Introduction

PTFE expansion bellows are used to absorb thermal growth, vibration and minor misalignment in corrosive piping systems. They help reduce load transfer to pumps, nozzles and connected equipment while providing a chemically resistant flow path for demanding process conditions.

Key Features

  • Accommodates axial movement and limited lateral displacement.
  • Helps protect connected equipment from vibration and thermal stress.
  • Suitable for highly corrosive service where metallic joints may not perform well.

Specifications

Material, dimensions and testing standards

Material

  • Body: Fabricated carbon steel or cast steel construction based on fitting geometry.
  • Lining: PTFE / PFA lining for severe corrosive service.
  • Ends: Flanged ends to integrate with lined piping systems.

Dimensions

  • Available in standard pipeline sizes for process plant integration.
  • Face-to-face dimensions maintained for interchangeability.
  • Reducer, tee and elbow geometry optimized for smooth flow transition.

Testing

  • Visual and dimensional inspection on every fitting.
  • Spark testing of all lined wetted surfaces.
  • Hydro testing performed according to service class requirements.
