Our PFA lined reducers are available in sizes ranging from 25 mm to 300 mm in diameter, with lining thickness varying from 3 mm to 8 mm depending on size. Concentric reducers provide a symmetrical transition (centerline maintained), while eccentric reducers help avoid air entrapment or liquid accumulation by maintaining a flat side—ideal for horizontal piping. Lining options include PFA, FEP, PVDF, HDPE, and antistatic PTFE. Suitable for full vacuum applications.

Introduction

Our PFA lined reducers are available in sizes ranging from 25 mm to 300 mm in diameter, with lining thickness varying from 3 mm to 8 mm depending on the size. Concentric reducers are used where a symmetrical flow transition is required (maintaining pipeline centerline), while eccentric reducers are designed to avoid air entrapment or liquid accumulation by maintaining a flat side—making them ideal for horizontal piping systems. A wide range of lining options is available beyond PFA, including FEP, PVDF, HDPE, and antistatic PTFE, with reducers suitable for full vacuum applications.

Material, dimensions and testing standards

Material

  • Body: D.I. casting as per ASTM A 395, Gr. 60-40-18.
  • Lining: PFA conforming ASTM D3307; PP conforming ASTM D4101; PVDF conforming ASTM D3222; HDPE conforming ASTM D3350.

Dimensions

  • Flange as per ANSI B16.5, 150#.
  • Lining and other dimensional tolerance as per ASTM F1545.
  • Lining thickness: 3 mm to 8 mm.

Testing

  • 100% visual and dimensional check.
  • 100% spark test at 15 KVDC.
  • 100% hydro test at 29 Kg/cm2, holding for 3 minutes, as per ASTM F1545.
  • 100% lining thickness check (>80% of flaring thickness).
