Choosing between PTFE and PFA lining depends on your process requirements, budget, and performance needs. Both offer excellent chemical resistance, but they differ in manufacturing, surface finish, and cost.
PTFE Lining
PTFE is manufactured by paste extrusion. It offers excellent chemical resistance and is generally more cost-effective. Slightly less flexible than PFA, it is ideal for most corrosive applications.
PFA Lining
PFA is melt-processable, providing a smoother surface and better stress-crack resistance. It is often preferred for high-purity applications like pharmaceuticals and semiconductors. PFA is generally more expensive than PTFE.
