PTFE offers exceptional chemical resistance across a wide range of aggressive media. Its inert nature makes it suitable for handling acids, bases, oxidizers, and organic solvents that would attack most metals and other plastics.

Acids

PTFE resists concentrated sulfuric acid, nitric acid, hydrochloric acid, hydrofluoric acid, and most other mineral and organic acids.

Bases

Strong alkalis such as sodium hydroxide and potassium hydroxide can be handled safely with PTFE lining.

Solvents

PTFE is resistant to most organic solvents including ketones, esters, and chlorinated hydrocarbons. Always verify specific chemical compatibility for your application.
